The idea of AIBC was borne out of the need to fill the prevalent training gap in training and updating the skills of broadcasters, public speakers and communicators to keep pace with the changes and trends in the vibrant broadcast and communications sector.
The birth of AIBC was further inspired by the clamour for an institution where quality and responsible broadcast journalism, presentation and public speaking will be taught while leveraging on the experiences and alliances with leading broadcast institutions nationally and globally.
Incorporation
Alpha Institute of Broadcast and Communications was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2005 as a corporate entity.
Vision
To become one of the leading Institutions of Broadcasting and Communications Centre in Nigeria and the African continent.
Mission
Our mission is to act as the benchmark for quality broadcasting education in Nigeria and the African continent through the provision of best practices in modern broadcasting communications teachings and techniques to trainees.
Experience has shown that many broadcast stations, especially private ones, often neglect training new recruits. As a result, newcomers struggle with a crude approach to their roles, leading to numerous shortcomings.
The on-the-job training program provides hands-on experience to employees across various specializations, including news, programs, engineering, and production. Seasoned professionals deliver refresher training directly within the benefiting station.
This program minimizes costs associated with transporting staff and their welfare needs, alleviating financial strain. It also allows stations to deploy as many staff members as possible since the training takes place on-site.
Our Partners
We partner with various media houses in hands-on training of our students. This guarantees proper education and acquisition of the requisite skill set for industry practice upon graduation.
